Decrobond Ltd was formed in 1974, based in a small factory in Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne. In the years following, Decrobond Ltd secured a contract to supply kitchens to Newcastle City Council and Washroom solutions to Newcastle United FC St James Park stadium, solidifying the company as a high-quality, design-driven brand.
1998-2002
The DCB Group acquires Decrobond Ltd which becomes a subsidiary of the DCB Holdings Ltd group. In 2002, Decrobond (DCB) Fabrication Ltd finds a new home in Normanton, relocating to a new 25,000 sq. foot building, sharing a manufacturing facility with DCB Joinery Ltd.
2012-2017
The company received over £200k investment in this time which allowed Decrobond to upgrade machinery to new, high-tech Biesse CNC machines and state-of-the-art bander machinery. These upgrades elevated the productivity and quality of Decrobond products, as well as upscaling the brand as a whole.
2018
The DCB Group appoints two new directors, a restructuring of the company follows, allowing Decrobond to focus on and develop the manufacturing division of the organisation further. Decrobond moves to a manufacturing facility to specialise in cubicle, IPS, doorset and laminate manufacturing.
2019
Decrobond (DCB) Fabrications rebrands to align its image with the new company strategy, now just Decrobond Ltd. A culture of continuous innovation is propelled resulting in new, more efficient manufacturing techniques being introduced, followed by companywide lean manufacturing training.
2020-Present
The COVID19 pandemic takes a toll on the UK economy. Decrobond’s commitment to quality and continuous innovation allows the company to keep up their momentum and increase orders and output. The Decrobond story continues and holds many opportunities for expansion in future.
